I like defending people.
The majority of my work is dedicated to representing people facing allegations of wrongdoing. I work closely with my clients to understand their objectives and provide advice tailored to their particular needs.
I’m Rebecca McConchie, lawyer and founder of McConchie Criminal Law.*
I’ve been working as a criminal lawyer since my call to the bar in 2012. I started my legal career in Toronto after graduating from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. I summered and articled at criminal defence firms in the city and clerked at the Superior Court before starting my practice at a top criminal defence firm. I made the move back home to B.C. in 2015, joining the team at Peck and Company Barristers in Vancouver. I practised there for several years, doing trials and appeals in a broad variety of criminal and quasi-criminal matters.
I founded McConchie Criminal Law in January 2022, looking for new ways to serve my clients.
